What Doorway is
Doorway is a non-custodial web interface. It helps you send USDC from another blockchain to a smart account on Monad that your own wallet owns, and then buy an asset on the Kuru order book with it. Doorway is a tool for preparing and watching those steps. It is not a bank, an exchange, a broker or a custodian.
Doorway never holds your funds. Your USDC travels to an account that your wallet owns, and only your wallet can move money out of it. The Doorway team cannot move your funds, freeze them or reverse a transaction.
The work itself is done by third-party services and open protocols that Doorway does not own or control: Kuru (the order book where the purchase happens), NEAR Intents and Aurora Intents (which carry USDC between chains), Privy (which connects your wallet and holds the temporary key that places the purchase), Pimlico (which sponsors gas), and Alchemy's open-source smart account contracts (the account your wallet owns). Each of them has its own terms, and you rely on them when you use Doorway.
Who can use Doorway
You may use Doorway only if you are allowed to under the laws that apply to you. Doorway is not available to anyone who is subject to economic or trade sanctions, or who is located in or ordinarily resident in a comprehensively sanctioned country or region. Doorway blocks access from those places and may block others.
You are responsible for knowing and following the laws that apply to you, including rules on digital assets, taxes and reporting. By using Doorway you confirm that you are the owner of the wallet you connect and that you are not using Doorway on behalf of a person who is not allowed to use it.
No advice
Nothing in Doorway is investment, financial, legal or tax advice. Doorway shows prices, amounts and rates that come from third parties, so you can decide for yourself. It does not recommend any asset, market or strategy. Talk to a qualified professional before you act on anything you read here.
Risks
Using blockchain services carries real risk. By using Doorway you accept that you can lose some or all of the money you send. In particular:
- Smart contracts, including the ones Doorway depends on, can contain bugs or be attacked.
- Third-party providers can be slow, change their rules, go offline or fail to deliver.
- Prices move between the moment you approve and the moment the purchase happens. Doorway protects you with a minimum you approve in advance, and cancels the purchase if the price falls below it, but it cannot remove price risk.
- Order books can be thin. A thin book can make a purchase fail, or fill at a worse price than you expected.
- Networks can be congested or delayed, and transfers between chains can take longer than the time Doorway usually shows.
- Blockchain transactions are final. Once a transaction is confirmed, nobody can undo it.
- A provider refunds a transfer only when its route supports a refund. Doorway does not promise a refund on any route.
- An asset you buy can lose value, including all of it.
When a purchase cannot go ahead, the USDC stays in the smart account your wallet owns, and you can withdraw it to your wallet from the page for that deposit.
Fees
Doorway charges no fee of its own today. If Doorway introduces a fee, these terms will state it, and the app will show it before you approve, before it applies to any deposit.
Each route also has its own costs, which it builds into the rate it gives Doorway. Doorway does not add them up for you as a separate line. What it shows before you approve is the minimum you will receive, and that figure already reflects the route's costs. Network fees on the chain you send from, such as gas on Base or SOL on Solana, are paid by you to that network, not to Doorway.
Gas on Monad for the steps Doorway performs is paid by Doorway, as described below.
Gas sponsorship
Doorway currently pays the gas on Monad for the steps it performs on your behalf. This is a courtesy and not a right. It depends on a sponsor and a budget, and Doorway can change it, limit it per account or stop it at any time. When sponsorship is paused, Doorway tells you before you send anything.
No warranty
Doorway is provided "as is" and "as available". The Doorway team makes no promise that the service will be uninterrupted, accurate, secure or free of errors, that any quote, time or price shown is exact, or that any transfer or purchase will succeed. To the fullest extent the law allows, all warranties of any kind, express or implied, are disclaimed, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the Doorway team is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of funds, profits, data or opportunity, that comes from your use of Doorway or from your inability to use it. That includes losses caused by third-party services, by smart contract failures, by price movement, by network delays and by your own mistakes. Where the law does not allow a limit of this kind, the limit applies only as far as the law permits.
You use Doorway at your own risk. You are responsible for the wallet you connect and for keeping it safe.
Changes to these terms
The Doorway team can change these terms and the service at any time. The date at the top shows when the terms last changed. If you keep using Doorway after a change, you accept the new terms.
